Woodland Caribou run throughout the forest and tundra of Newfoundland – one of the few places in the world to find Woodland Caribou, and the only place in North America you can hunt. Due to this, the majestic Woodland Caribou tags are very limited.

Woodland Caribou weigh around 300-400 lbs and can be found in small groups in early season and gather up in herds in late season when the mating season begins.

The Caribou hunting season takes place in October and November on the high barren grounds of the Hampton Downs – Area 78 and Adie’s Lake – Area 79. Our hunts are mostly spot and stalk from high vantage points.
