I had an awesome moose hunting experience. The lodge was warm and cozy, the food was delicious, and the hospitality was second to none. This was my first moose hunt and I was successful on the last morning of the hunt. We had 6 hunters in camp, we tagged 5 moose and a bear. I will definitely be returning for another hunt.

To start with, the camp is beautiful and very comfortable. The setting on Buck Lake is classic Newfoundland. The camp staff was outstanding and Gereldine is a great cook and very nice person. Roger pays attention to details and took us to some very remote places in the Argo. I did not fill my tag, but did see 35 moose which were mostly bulls. i just didn’t see “The Bull” that I wanted to put my tag on.The 3 other guides were very knowledgeable and guided the other hunters to their moose and bear. My group went 6 for 7 in filling tags. I would not hesitate to call Roger Sheppard in discussing a Newfie Adventure! I hope to be back one day soon to see my new Newfie friends and chase those Swamp Donkeys around the bogs again. Definitely a 5 Star operation.
